Solar RC Plane!
This has been so many weeks of work, but Iโm pleased to announce a new video and my latest project, a solar endurance aircraft, is dropping on the Project Air YouTube channel tomorrow, Saturday 7th September. Canโt wait to finally release it and show you what happened.

NEW ROCKET PLANE! โ๏ธ๐
I've been waiting so long to build this...
Based on the Lockheed SR-71 Blackbird, this gold painted RC model is equipped with an F-size rocket booster to, hopefully, accelerate it to speeds over my personal air-speed-record with a model aircraft of 145mph- I say 'hopefully' as it's still yet to be tested! ๐ฌ
Currently, the plane has been tested up to speeds of just over 100mph using two upgraded 50mm electric ducted fans in the nacelles. Stage 2 is to now use the rocket motor to get the model past that 145mph target.
Test day is tomorrow. We'll see how it goes! Keep an eye out for an update! ๐ค

Answers to some common questions:
1. I learned almost everything by building models as a kid.
2. I donโt have an engineering degree, as my Maths wasn't very good at school! This didn't stop me from doing what I loved, though, which is building cool things and being a do-it-yourself engineer.
3. My first RC plane was a Super Cub, which I still have to this day.
4. The car I drive is a classic Mini. ๐
