My brother lost the love of his life yesterday in a tragic car accident. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time and that instant changed so many lives forever. My heart is broken & the tears wonโt stop. Eliana was such a bright light in this world and the relationship she & my brother had filled everyone around them with so much joy. They loved hard, they loved beautifully, they loved fearlessly. I would get tears in my eyes talking about how happy I was for them. Every conversation I had with Eliana was so deep and meaningful. She had the most beautiful soul. Rest In Peace Eliana, you are so loved & will be missed dearly.

Looking back at my normal life before quarantine like...

What was once my everyday life here in Italy now seems like a faraway fantasy. The crisp evening air whipping my hair around, the smells from nearby restaurants drifting through the streets, a night out with friends surrounded by laughter & good conversation. I will never take la dolce vita for granted after this. What a beautiful reminder we all needed that our everyday freedoms are some of the biggest luxuries.
