I just wanted to say a huge, HUGE thank you to everyone for such a lovely response to last week's video. I absolutely did not expect the amount of love, kindness, and encouragement you sent my way, and it means so much to me! Reading through the comments (I really tried to read every single one!), I had such a big smile on my face, except for the times I started crying (in a good way, I promise) cause someone shared something so moving. Actually, I was probably crying and smiling at the same time. That's possible.
Who told you you're allowed to be such freaking amazing wonderful people, huh?? Giant hugs to you all!
And thanks to all of your feedback, I've decided that Stitching and Stories will be finding a home on a second channel here on YouTube, yay! It'll be a little bit before I can get everything prepared and actually start it, but in the meantime, I thought I'd ask for your opinions once again - I have collected a lot of job-related stories over the years, thanks to working some very.... interesting, shall we say, jobs. Which ones would you most like to hear about first?
Also, a little head's up that if I'm ever doing a Q&A style story for a specific topic like these, I'll likely be taking the questions over on Instagram, just cause it's much easier to organize that way. If you don't have IG, or you just have some burning questions on the mind right now, feel free to drop those in the comments of this post, and I'll take note of them for upcoming stories!

Hey all! I thought I'd share a little progress update on the big bargello piece I started at the end of Friday's video, so here it is! I kinda messed up the design because I wasn't paying close enough attention to the pattern (is anyone surprised?), but I still love how it's looking!
It's also super fast to sew in comparison to regular embroidery - this didn't take me long at all - so bargello is a great option if you're looking for a relatively "quick" embroider project!

Hey all you awesome humans! As we dive into 2024, I wanted to ask what new thing you'd be most interested in seeing from me and The Stitchery!
I'm considering trying a livestream (scary for me, but it could be fun!), doing collabs with other creators (I'd love to know who you want to see me collab with), getting a PO Box (y'all keep asking if you can send me stuff), or finally doing that Stitching and Stories series where I chat about random things to keep you company (maybe something to try on a Patreon?)...
Let me know your thoughts, and we shall see where 2024 takes us!

She has been named!!
Okay, so Calliope got the most votes, but uhhhhhh..... here's the thing. I realized in retrospect that if I name her Calliope, then I will call her Calli for short (because one must always shorten things into a nickname). But y'all - that's my sister's name. And that would just feel weird, right? Right? Is it just me?
Suffice it to say, Calliope is out. Sorry everyone!
BUT - and this is a but I'm very happy about - sooooo many people wrote in votes for Canterloupe in the comments, and the more I heard it/read it, the more I adored it. So (drumroll please)...
Her name is now Canterloupe!!
