Always impressed how easy it is to light LEDs with RF fields. Intuitively you might think, the voltage would be too high and the current too low.
This is a link to a video maded for STEMnet a few years ago: https://youtu.be/ziVV0attN0E?si=Si1d3...
Bit of extra progress, flushed out the Vertical channel selection issue to this 74LS153 multiplexer buried on the back-plane. Now have all 4 channel operating correctly.
Close-up of the internal silicon in the failed transistor taken out of the TEK 7603 scope repair video. This is a 2N5859 NPN transistor. Note the fused bond wire. A blob can be seen on the remaining part of the bond wire on the terminal post indicating it wasn't cut while opening the outer can.
Next video will be on this old logic Analyser. Thought it would be an easy demo, but it didn’t go to plan.
Looking through the photo-cathode window of a Photo Multiplier Tube into the cascade of Dynodes. A video on this out shortly.
Experiments, Physics, Electronics, High voltages and Projects. Also any old Electronic and Electrical stuff that should really be in a museum.
