Eyes of a Beginner is a fictional feature film that was shot in Japan, Indonesia, India and Nepal, and won "Best Feature Film" at the Spirit Quest Film Festival, as well as "Best Canadian Feature" at the Okanagan International Film Festival, and was an official selection and an honorable mention at the International Film Festival for Peace, Inspiration and Equality. This is a fictional story set in real environments while often incorporating spontaneous circumstances and the non-actor locals into the movie. A very small cast and crew, using modest equipment allowed for the filmmakers to blend into their environments rather than take them over. Eyes of a Beginner is a true hybrid between fiction and documentary.
