We have now launched our YouTube channel membership on the link above. Priced £5.99 per month. Click the ‘join’ button and it will take you to the payment page where you can join up to be a channel member. This will give you access to our full meeting videos from kings Lynn that we cover this year (there may be 2 or 3 events we can’t attend due to other commitments). It will also feature weekly updates of full dvd videos from our 20 year back catalog from various tracks. Plus ultimate wreckage crash videos.
It’s currently pre loaded with 13 full length videos. Both parts of the 2023 crash videos. The Nutty Nige testimonial in 4K ultra HD, the big van banger charity day, 2009 saloon stock car world final and all this years kings Lynn events up to Easter Monday.
The freeview page will continue as usual with highlights, pit walks and driver videos. DVDS and Blurays from mildenhall will still be on sale and selected events from kings Lynn will still be available on dvd too. We hope it will be a successful trial as we understand less people have dvd players now, this is a way to watch full length event videos on demand.

10 days until launch...25th April we will add a membership option to the YouTube channel. This will feature full length edited event videos from Kings Lynn this season and many more from our extensive back catalogue of DVDs. Some other tracks will feature too that we have filmed at previously.
This is a new service to cater for the growing number of viewers who dont have DVD players any more. With YouTube being so easily accessible on many devices this seems the logical progression at the moment. DVDs and BluRays will still be available of selected big events and we will still be selling Mildenhall events on DVD / BluRay too.
The freeview side to YouTube will continue to feature highlights videos, pit walks, driver videos and the odd full race as we currently do, then the membership page will be for full length videos, similar to the Spedeworth TV service. It will be pre loaded with the events we have filmed at Kings Lynn so far this year, plus the 421 Nutty Nige weekend from last year, some Ultimate Wreckage crash videos and the 2009 Saloon Stock Car world final, with more being added weekly. Including the complete 3 day weekend from last August, 421 Nutty Nige Testimonial and Big Van Banger charity day. All presented in glorious 4K Ultra HD. The membership will be priced at £5.99 per month and will launch on 25th April. It will be pre loaded with all of this seasons Kings Lynn meeting we record (there will be 2 or 3 missing this year due to other commitments and date clashing) and will also be pre loaded with many more including the Nutty Nige weekend.

Market research wanted…
We seem to be at a bit of a crossroads with our Kings Lynn videos, and are now looking into an ‘on demand’ subscription service. It’s very much in the early stages and we are still unsure if it’s worth the investment but that’s where the market research comes in.
We currently have nearly 8,000 subscribers on the free to view YouTube channel. We can add a membership option on YouTube where we can host full meeting videos of all the current kings Lynn events, as well as selected events from previous years. And, should it go well, there are options to get the back catalog on there too.
Would there be interest in full meetings listed on a YouTube membership channel at £12.99 a month? Basically the same price as a single DVD from us. This would be every kings Lynn meeting we film in full, plus a good selection of previous years meetings, and the odd full dvd from our back collection from other tracks. Possibly many of our Coventry stock car DVDs and Mildenhall from the RDC days.
We would continue with the highlights and advert clips on the free to view YouTube channel as we do currently, but add a membership option for full meeting videos and special editions. As well as some membership only interview videos here and there too.
The good thing with YouTube is that it’s easy to watch on a TV as we believe our videos are best viewed on a good sized tv screen. It also allows us to showcase 4K quality content. The major downside is background music and copyright issues making the editing process more challenging as we need to edit around the stadium PA music or overdub our own. YouTube also take a good chunk of each subscription and technically they own a portion of the content too. And there’s no guarantee they won’t suddenly change their rules.
We could do a stand alone channel similar to Spedeworth TV, but to have the full app to make it easier to watch on a smart TV, it’s very expensive and have storage capacity limits. This would look and feel more professional but would need some added sponsorship to set up and run. In return we can run advertising for any of the sponsors.
We also are facing some filming position issues at kings lynn, so the extra cost of complying with regulations and still having good vantage points also needs to be considered.
So basically we are looking for feedback about how popular you think a subscription service for kings Lynn and previous back collection videos would be?
We would still offer selected events on DVD and Blu-ray for customers to buy and keep as we know some people like to own a physical copy. We will also continue to produce DVDs and blurays at mildenhall and some aldershot meetings, but these wouldn’t be on the demand channel as they would feature on Spedeworth TV’s channel.
