17 years ago this month we released Mehfuz .. originally to be released in May 2006 , we had to stop the release because a music label sent me a legal notice . They took the case to the High Court where my sister Dahlia fought the legal battle and came out with flying colours. Mehfuz has been loved by everyone who has heard it. This album was the end of the indipop era as we knew it and music in India has never been the same. And because i stood up to unfairness, my musical career has faced unprecedented hurdles. Main galat karta bhi nahin aur sehta bhi nahin.Β
Ever since we have followed the totally independent path using our means & money to release our music, our way. Obviously we can't match up to the wealthy corporates , but I won't give up.Β
Nothing has been the same since 2006 but Euphoria is still Mehfuz in your hearts, your prayers & your love.Β
And this is my favourite cover out of all our albums. 2 of my band members hated it, but that story I will leave for another day.

1 year since we put out our most "feel good" video. A song I made just like that.. And a video which we shot just like that .. Because love happens just like that too.
Just reinforced my belief.. The Best happens Bevajah, Khwaamkhaa! Why go looking for a reason , when the only reason for love is love & nothing else.
