The James Beaudreau Band is a New York City folk-rock jam band, now in its second year of residency at Harlem's Shrine World Music Venue. Anchored in the tradition of the Grateful Dead, every song the band plays is approached anew, with sets that are unique, improvisation-driven celebrations of the roots and branches of rock and roll, folk, fusion and more.
Members are: James Beaudreau (lead guitar / vocal), Anne DeAcetis (vocal / percussion), Philip Lynch (guitar), Ben Kraus (bass), and Kyle McCarter (drums). Guest musicians have included: Andrew Fleming, Luke Folger, Zach Harmon, and Alex DeTurk (drums); Rocky Russo, Tom FitzPatrick and Ike Sturm (bass); and Caili O’Doherty (keyboards).
Bandleader James Beaudreau, a guitarist with over 30 years experience, is a former member of San Francisco’s Billy Nayer Show, and the founder of Workbench Recordings. Through Workbench he's produced three of his own experimental albums and Philip Lynch's album "At the Start at Long Last."
