I'm from Massachusetts, my name is Todd.
After being laid off and losing the roof over my head, I was left homeless. I basically wander around my city during the day looking for work and scout out a new location to sleep. It's a relatively safe area, but I do often worry about police finding me and telling me to leave.
I have tried every service available for help, but being without an address and reliable wifi, it's extremely difficult to manage. Shelter is an issue, but food is much worse of an issue. Food pantries rarely have anything that does not go bad or requires cooking.
I left my apartment with nothing but a backpack, had no place to store anything so my old landlord tossed it out. I have no family that give a damn. It sucks working for years, paying taxes, and being pushed and pushed until you snap. I am a very social person, and being in my position makes it difficult to converse with people because society sees most homeless as being drunks or drug addicts. I am neither.
