Just dropped this vid on a few reflections on the last 30 days...

Just got back from a mid-week getaway with Ren..

Picture this:

There I am, standing in this quaint little kitchen, whipping up bruschetta for breakfast like some wannabe Italian chef.

(Side note: If you've never had bruschetta for breakfast, you're missing out on one of life's simple pleasures)

Later that day we went for a leisurely stroll through a local garden and made friends with a small, but clearly lost doggo...

He'd been chasing the local Geese population and their gaggle of goslings.

You know what's funny about watching those baby geese waddle after their parents by the lake?

They know EXACTLY who to follow.

There's no confusion.

No mixed messages.

No "maybe I'll follow that duck instead..."

They're crystal clear on who they are and where they're going.

And it got me thinking about why so many folks struggle to make sales in their online business...

cue dramatic music

Here's the thing...

Back in 2017 when I first went full-time in my business, I was about as clear as mud with my message.

One day I'd be the "Facebook ads guy"

Next day: "Hey, want some funnels?"

Following week: "Actually, I do websites too!"

I was trying to be everything to everyone, and you know what that got me?

Two years of struggle.

Barely scraping by.

Living off instant noodles (and not the fancy kind).

My bank account looked sadder than that missing dog we helped find (happy ending there by the way - puppy and owner reunited!)

The turnaround didn't happen until I got crystal clear on four things:

WHO I'm talking to
WHAT specific problem I solve
HOW I solve it differently than everyone else
Perhaps the most important is my personal philosophy and how it ties into it all

Sound simple?

That's because it is.

But simple isn't always easy...

Think about it - when was the last time you sat down and really asked yourself:

"What do I want to be known for?"

Now, don't get me wrong, I've waivered in this on many occasions as I've struggled to figure out 'next steps' in my business and life, but that's actually a good thing...

Why?

Because I'm human.

I make mistakes.

I deal with stuff people don't see.

That's part of my brand and I'm not afraid to put myself out there and be wrong (a lot).

Because here's the brutal truth...

If you're posting content that could have been written by any other coach/consultant/course creator, you're just adding to the noise.

And let me tell you, there's already enough noise out there to make a heavy metal concert seem like a meditation retreat.

Your audience needs to hear YOUR voice.

YOUR perspective.

YOUR unique way of solving their problems.

Not some watered-down, vanilla, "me-too" marketing that sounds like it came from a ChatGPT prompt.

(Though AI can be helpful - just don't let it steal your voice!)

This is why I hammer home messaging so much with my students.

Because when you nail your message...

When you speak directly to your ideal client's pain points...

When you position yourself as THE obvious choice...

That's when everything changes.

Don't believe me?

Look at any of my content. (Seriously, go stalk my profile - I'll wait)

You'll notice I'm always talking about:

Making sales without complex funnels
Converting through simple content
Keeping selling fun and simple
Building real relationships instead of relying on algorithms

It's consistent.

It's clear.

...And even though I'm one of about 800 bajillion creators solving similar issues for people...

It's uniquely me.

And guess what?

That clarity has helped me serve over 921 students (and counting).

Not because I'm special. Not because I have some "secret sauce."

But because I finally stopped trying to be everything to everyone and started being specific about who I help and how I help them.

So here's my challenge to you...

Take a look at your last 5 posts.

If someone read them without seeing your name, would they know it was you?

Would they understand exactly who you help and how you help them?

If not, that's your first step to turning things around.

I often get comments about my style and even a subject line of an email and knowing it comes from me.

Because in a world of noise, clarity cuts through like a hot knife through butter.

(Speaking of butter... that bruschetta was pretty amazing. Just saying.)

Stay awesome,

Jamie

The biggest quantum leaps I've made in business have come from the most uncomfortable times....

- Dropping money on a mentor when I didn't have the funds and trusting in my ability to make it work

- Putting myself out there (Still hate recording video in spite of having 1k YouTube vids (Many unlisted), at least 1k Facebook lives and 600+ vimeo)

- Letting go of everything I was doing to go all in on a project.

Everytime my income and confidence has catapulted.
