Wilson mp Please read my parliamentary questions and the response from Hon @arjunrammeghwal.
It is shocking that out of the 684 High Court judges appointed since 2018, only 21 belong to the Scheduled Caste (3%), 14 belong to the Scheduled Tribe (2%), and 82 belong to the Other Backward Classes (11.9%).
I wonder why the Law Ministry hasn't provided direct answers regarding the details of the forward caste, which amounts to 567 candidates (82.53%), and instead allowed me to do the calculations myself.
In response to my query about the inclusion of social diversity and reservation in the memorandum of procedure proposed for the appointment of High Court and Supreme Court judges, the Ministry of Law dismissed the issue by claiming that reservation is not available under the Constitution!
The current state of the Higher Judiciary is quite troubling. As of October 31, 2024, there are 1,122 High Court judge posts, but approximately 360 are unfilled. This means that over 33% of the judge posts in the higher judiciary are currently vacant.
The litigants and the general public suffer due to the large backlog of cases caused by a lack of Judges.
This indicates that the Law Ministry is not fulfilling its responsibilities effectively!

Wilson mp /To my Parliamentary question whether the Union Government is withholding funds to State of Tamil Nadu under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan because it sent a MoU which excludes the provision mandating adherence to National Education Policy (NEP), if so, the reason for forcing State Government to accept National Education Policy;
(b) the details of funds withheld under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan for non-adherence of NEP, State wise; and
(c) the NEP tries to achieve gross enrolment ratio of 50 per cent by 2035, whereas, States like Tamil Nadu has already achieved this objective, whether Government has considered empowering the State Government to draft their own education policy,

[ *First GI Book of India*: *_Arts and Crafts of India_*

The image showcases a historic event held in 2014 at *Hotel Gnanam, Thanjavur*, commemorating the release of the *First GI Book of India*, titled *Arts and Crafts of India*, the *first comprehensive book on Geographical Indications (GI) goods in India*. Authored by *Sanjai Gandhi, a distinguished Geographical Indication (GI) Attorney and India’s National IP Awardee*, the book meticulously documents *GI-registered products, including handlooms, handicrafts, and other traditional goods, compiled over a decade since the enactment of the GI Act in 1999*. This monumental work, which took five years to complete, is a testament to India’s cultural and artisanal legacy.

The book was released by the *Superintendent of Police, Thanjavur District*, with the first copy ceremoniously presented to *Late V. Panneer Selvam*, *father* of the author, *Sanjai Gandhi*. Present on stage were dignitaries including the IPS officer, Late Panneer Selvam, Sanjai Gandhi, the *Principal , Kundhavai Nachiyar, Government Arts College*, and the *Principal of Thiruvaiyaru Music College*, celebrating this landmark achievement in preserving India’s rich heritage.
