Decided after a suggestion from a community member, to replace my thermal paste on my Mid-2012 MacBook Pro. Good thing too because it was crusty and old. I had clipped the trackpad ribbon cable in the process so I ordered a new one on eBay. Everything works now, and is back in order. I checked the temps on the processor, and it seems to want to hover around 60 degrees Celsius. And that's with modified the fan speeds with iStat. I'm assuming the computer struggles a little more because I'm running Sonoma with OpenCore legacy patcher. Thoughts?

Was donated this Mid-2012 MacBook Pro 15". I upgraded everything. New SSD, extra SSD with caddy in DVD Rom slot, new 16 GB RAM kit, and brand new battery. Using macOS Sonoma with OCLP flawless. Got black screen after installing bootcamp drivers on Windows partition, so switched to using Parallels for Windows apps. Handles it pretty well.

Meet Reya! Sweet little Reya was born with quite a complex heart. She has hypoplastic right heart syndrome, tricuspid atresia, double outlet right ventricle, pulmonary stenosis, mild coarctation of her aorta and she was even born without a sternum! Thereās no known children born with her combination of defects in history. She spent the first 6.5 months of her life at CHOP where she underwent 3 interventional heart catheterizations, 1 open heart surgery and 1 chest wall reconstructive surgery. During that time she also survived cardiogenic shock after an impending cardiac arrest due to a bad reaction from a beta blocker. Despite her rocky start to life, sheās doing incredibly well and now living an amazing and full life. Sheās doing so well in fact, that she likely wonāt need another heart surgery until around 4 or 5, where sheāll complete her single ventricle palliation (the Fontan). I thank the universe every day for having such a strong willed child and for being blessed with an amazing surgical and cardiac team at CHOP (looking at you Dr. Fuller & Dr. Shillingford)!
