It also turns out the city had signed an agreement with the landlord before they shut down the building and that agreement gave the city permission to shut it down. Then the city threw them under the bus. The agreement said the landlord agreed to sell or re rent the property and fix all code violations. There have been at least 10 arrests of Venezuelan gang members for crimes at the apartment that was shut down including attempted murder, drugs, stolen cars, assault, etc.

The Aurora apartments and a possible Venezuelan gang take over have been in the news a lot, finally! More and more stories are coming out about the crime and at least 8 people have been arrested from the one apartment building that was evicted who are in the Venezuelan gang. I have many videos on the subject including this one going over the police call logs and other information provided by Aurora.

One apartment was shut down with 6 days notice evicting 300 people. Many people blame the landlord for code violations and say gangs were not involved. The landlord said he could not take care of the property because gangs were threatening his property managers. The letter from Aurora was for a nuisance crime property not code violations. It is hard to know for sure what is going on in these apartments or what was going on but there was/is a whole lot of crime.

Rumor is they might let us back up today! The fire is pretty much out. I'll have my insta 360 camera mounted to show what it looks like.

They just updated the fire map. Up to 5k acres. So far it looks like they protected almost all the houses. I see in a different area 4 houses in the fire zone but that doesn't mean they burned. The blue dot is our house.

The house is still there! There was smoke billowing from the mountain on the top right of the picture all night. A firetruck is back.
