In April 2023, after much research, we started our backyard chicken journey. We got 9 sexed baby chicks and 1 pair of straight-run baby chicks in what I called a "happy meal" box. What ensued was totally unexpected. We discovered just how ridiculous (and therapeutic) chickens are and just had to share their shenanigans with others.

Bertha: Sapphire Gem or Australorp, black-gray
Sassy and Sapphire: black sex links
Henny Penny: brown Cinnamon Queen?
Speckles and Freckles: identical ISA browns
Cinnamon: brown with no white, Rhode Island Red?
