On March 23, 2016, Roger slipped on black ice during a severe ice storm and hit his head on a concrete step and suffered a concussion. That led to severe anxiety and depression and he eventually hit rock bottom. Within 2 years he was able to fight his way out of the darkness to find the light again. Through his journey he learned so many things in life and he made a promise to himself that he would heal others by writing quotes based on his experiences and share it to others who are also trying to find the light.
