“Last night we gathered to say goodbye to a great, companion of our family. You left us after 18 years full of love, laughter and memories that we will hold deep in our hearts.
You were more than a cat, you were a member of our family, a friend who stood by us in joys and sorrows. You were there when our children took their first steps, when they laughed with your toys and when they found comfort in your warm body in difficulties. You were the silent witness of our lives, always willing to give love without asking for anything in return, beyond a little food and a place near us.
You taught us a lot about selfless love. With your gentle purr, you calmed our souls and reminded us of the power of simplicity. When we saw you sunbathing peacefully at the window, you seemed to understand something profound about life that we perhaps haven’t yet learned: that the little moments are what count.
My children grew up with you. You were their first friend, their companion on adventures, and their support when they needed affection. You were their first lesson in love, responsibility, and, sadly, loss. Your absence will be felt, but your presence will always live on in our hearts.
Thank you for everything you have given us. We are grateful that you were with us for 18 wonderful years. You were special, unique, and our love for you will never fade.
