Hi friends! I know when I shared a video about the DIY temporary tattoos I made for traveling (seen on Coop's hand here), there was a lot of interest. I'm happy to report I made templates so you can customize your own!
I'm always nervous about Cooper getting separated, especially since people may not know he's deaf. The tattoos I made included the information that Cooper is deaf and uses cochlear implants and some ASL, and also had my phone number. But the template is easy to customize to your liking.

Guys I swear I’m not disabling comments on all my posts. I think YouTube is cracking down on some content with children again. I’m sorry. 😭
A free and accessible version of The ABCs of Inclusion? Yes, please!
It’s amazing to see my book come to life with audio descriptions and ASL. Huge thanks to @imaginationstorybooks and @thedcmp for making this possible.

Amazon Bestselling Author of The ABCs of Inclusion
As a hearing individual, it never occurred to me that I’d give birth to a deaf child.
But in 2019, my son Cooper was born profoundly deaf and an emotional, beautiful, raw journey began to unfold.
We chose to take a dual language approach with Cooper, meaning we use both sign language and spoken language (he has cochlear implants). We wanted him to have the ability to take the lead and choose how to communicate. Today, he prefers mostly spoken language and signs when he wants to. His comprehension of sign is amazing, though.
In truth, I started sharing our journey of raising a deaf child bilingually on social media as a way of processing what was happening. It was an outlet for me to make sense of everything. But before I knew it, we'd begun building a strong community of humans who appreciate the raw, the real, the honest, and everything in between. Sharing this journey has been the greatest gift.
