Dear RSA Walkabout Community,
It is with a heavy heart that I share some difficult news. My father, Prof. Jan Pretorius, the creator and heart behind this channel, passed away last month. My dad was very fit and healthy, but he suffered an unexpected aneurysm and died in ICU with all his loved ones holding his hands and listening to his favorite classical music pieces.
I know how much he loved creating content for all of you, and he truly cherished the community that has grown around his work.
I want to express my deepest gratitude for your support and for being a part of this journey with him. Your comments, likes, and engagement meant the world to him.
At the age of 80, my dad overcame the remarkable challenge of learning from scratch how to do video editing, sound mixing, vlogging, YouTube Studio Console, Canva, and in the last months, also how to use AI (ChatGPT4) to create some of the B-roll images & content.
