Glacial Outburst
Even under earths iciest climates, volcanoes can erupt. What are we to think when magma meets the snow? A shroud of impenetrable silence suddenly must succumb to fire and fury. In this painting we see the churning red heat under frozen blues. A looming explosion is coming. Perhaps we understand nature because we recognize these traits within ourselves.
