Chopin’s Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2 is among his most beloved works, a caress of ivory and silence flowing through time.
Its melody drifts into the night like an inner voice, suspended between harmonic sighs and shades of soul.
In this live multicamera recording, sound becomes vision: the paintings of Mariangela Cacace, exhibited during the concert, appear throughout the video — as if born directly from the music.

Giovanni Alvino affronta con straordinaria maestria l’arduo Étude No. 50 in Sol minore, ultimo studio della monumentale raccolta The Art of Finger Dexterity, Op. 740 di Carl Czerny. Pubblicata nel 1844 a Vienna e Parigi, l’Op. 740 rappresenta il culmine del metodo pedagogico czerniano: cinquanta studi pensati per sviluppare agilità, precisione e indipendenza degli arti e delle dita, condotti sempre entro un contesto musicale di alto valore espressivo .
L’Étude No. 50, contrassegnato dal carattere “Allegro agitato” nei cataloghi moderni , concentra in poche battute tutte le sfide della scuola czerniana: ampissimi salti, escursioni su doppie ottave e passaggi a velocità estrema con articolazioni nitide. Il brano, benché sia uno Studio tecnico, non rinuncia a un’ispirazione melodica che lo rende godibile tanto all’orecchio quanto alla pratica pianistica .
Giovanni Alvino, acclamato pianista e didatta, porta in scena questo studio con un virtuosismo che pochi pianisti possono permertersi, annullando qualsiasi ardua difficoltà tecnica, trasformando questo Studio in un’efficace prova d’arte .
Registrato live il 27 aprile 2025, con un Yamaha C5 Conservatory matricola 3300490 accordato dal maestro Mario Laudati.
La performance dimostra come l’“arte di render agili le dita” di Czerny sia ancora oggi una pietra miliare per la formazione tecnica e interpretativa dei pianisti, e come un interprete di livello mondiale possa trascendere la semplice esecuzione per offrire un’esperienza estetica completa.
