SO excited to hear the news the co-ed a capella choirs (Rosettes and Close Harmony, pictured here at their winter concert in December) will be singing the national anthem at the June 2 Phillies game — what a thrill just a few weeks before Aveline graduates middle school! Can’t wait to go and cheer them on!

This boy loves the snow — helped shovel earlier and then played outside for two(ish) hours until Mama pretty much forced him to come inside. 😂❄️🥰

Second year in All South Jersey Choir — see the pin adorning her stole? remember how cool that made you feel when you had previous years to display, fellow choir nerds? — and last year as a middle school kid wearing the high school’s red, since next year she’ll be a freshman there! It was a doozy of a week (rapid strep test [negative on Tuesday] and culture [negative on Friday], missed school Wednesday and Thursday) but she’s on the mend and thankfully recovered enough to perform…especially since with the impending snow, today’s was the ONLY concert for this choir! She also moved from a shortie front row spot last year to the penultimate row. #growthspurt 😮🥹🥰

My current read, which I am evaluating as a potential title for summer reading in my school district. We change themes every year and have corresponding and thematically-linked titles. Summer 2026 has a sports theme. Anyone ever read this?

Last year we started creating New Year’s BINGO boards — in lieu of one resolution, a list of plans to gamify the goal setting. Both kids hit theirs but mine fell short due to a few house project plans I didn’t manage to fit into 2025. Ah well, live and learn. We brainstormed (always a battle in our house, as they want to rebel against what feels like “homework from an English teacher” 😂) and creating new boards for 2026. Fingers crossed we all reach BINGO by this time next year!

A successful “Unboxing Day” over here with the biggest presents from mom as our main objectives — with gratitude to Pop who was Thayer’s build buddy, while Aveline and I teamed up in her room. His car bed was a gift from Santa seven years ago (scroll for the adorable throwback pic) and Aveline’s been clamoring for a proper vanity for some time now. Both projects took most of the day but everyone was super happy (and sufficiently exhausted) when all the assembling was finished!

Nonna and Pop (my parents — I’m half Italian 🇮🇹) joined us for an impromptu Christmas Eve after our original plans changed. I love all these people so much and wish them (and you!) the happiest holidays and merriest new year! 🥰

Here’s what the adorable stuffies look like all decked out with baggies of homemade PB dog cookies. Aveline’s had such fun putting these together and distributing them when the pup parents come to grab their gifts! 🥰
