Alright, family, and I'm about to break it down for you with some game on how I navigated through a major crossroad in my life back in 2010. Now, listen closely, because this is all about understanding your moves and making strategic decisions.

Back then, I was at a point where I had to decide on my next big move. The first option on the table was Job Corps. Now, for those who aren't hip to what Job Corps is, it's a program designed to help young folks get their act together by providing vocational training and education. On paper, it looked like a solid plan, a safe bet, if you will. But you know me—I'm always about looking deeper, seeing beyond the surface.

So here's the deal: I took a step back and really assessed the situation. Job Corps, while beneficial for some, didn't quite align with the vision I had for myself. I was aiming for something that wasn't just about personal advancement but also about making an impact, contributing to the community, and building something lasting.

That's when the idea of enlisting popped up. Now, hold up, before you jump to conclusions, understand this wasn't about just following orders or falling in line. It was about discipline, structure, and gaining a set of skills and experiences that I could bring back to my community. It was about taking control of my narrative and using every opportunity to empower myself and, by extension, my people.

Choosing to enlist over Job Corps was a power move. It was me recognizing that the path less traveled, the one that requires you to dig deep, face challenges head-on, and truly commit to growth, is where the real rewards are. It's about playing chess, not checkers—thinking several moves ahead and always being strategic in your choices.

Now, to my brothers and sisters out there feeling stuck at a crossroads, unsure of which direction to take, remember this: Your journey is yours and yours alone. It's about making moves that align with your purpose, your vision for yourself, and your community. Don't just go with the flow or take the path of least resistance. Be deliberate, be strategic, and always stay ten steps ahead.

In the end, the choice to enlist was a game-changer for me. It taught me about resilience, leadership, and the power of staying true to your vision. And it's these lessons that I bring to everything I do, whether it's dropping knowledge or speaking truth to power.

So keep your head up, stay focused, and never forget: In this game of life, it's all about making moves that empower you and your community. That's how we win.

True story. Let’s normalize this again. Not sure if y’all noticed but juvenile delinquency is at all time highs with today’s generation.
