I'm a beekeeper and have been keeping bees since the mid 90's enjoy doing it a lot and I don't do it just for the honey, Other reasons I keep bees is to increase pollination in our area, protect the honeybee as a species and simply because I like them. I have always been fascinated by social bees and wasps. I will keep bees until either my back gives out or till I pass away. I have also been using top bar hives and like them a lot. Another thing great about having your own bees is that the honey you get you know where it comes from and its natural, organic and raw. In addition to bees I have other hobbies as well: photography and videography of severe weather, optics in the sky, I love 4wheeler riding, pulse jet engines, turning wood bowls and vases and my newest hobby melting rocks, glass and metal with a giant Fresnel lens hacked out of a rear projection TV.
