I feature in-depth discussions, interviews, and analyses on a wide range of topics, including philosophy, literature, history, sociology, biological anthropology, etc. I'm basically a four-fields anthropology type who ended up in linguistics to explore the interaction of culture and cognition, but with an historical bent and an evolutionary eye.
I obtained my MA from Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen, and now a research assistant at the Universiteit Leiden, living in the Netherlands. I study (cognitive) linguistics and history (historical ethnography). I conducted an internship at the Österreichische Akademie der Wissenschaften (Austrian Academy of Sciences). I feel equally at home in the (bio-)social sciences and the Humanities.
I am also a part-time voice actor and an avid theatre and poetry fan. I am also a learner of languages and and a bit of a nomad, when conditions allow. I like to promote co-operation in science and the arts and between the 'Two Cultures' as C.P. Snow put it.
