One thing I find fascinating is how we all have something that drives us. Someone canā€™t live without music, someone is obsessed with cooking, someone finds joy in raising kids, and someone hasnā€™t found their passion yet. For me, that passion is travel, and filming comes right after.

Iā€™m about to start a new journey across five countries, with my final stop in Georgia. This trip is a necessity, something I have to do after recent changes in Google AdSense for Russia-based channels. But it doesnā€™t mean it canā€™t be fun. Iā€™ve found a way to spice up this trip and transform it into a journey.

Hereā€™s my route: Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) > Kochi (India) > Muscat (Oman) > Abu Dhabi (UAE) > Tbilisi (Georgia).

Are you from any of these places? Iā€™d love to meet up and have you show me around!
Curious about any of these countries? Let me know what youā€™d like to see. Iā€™ll be filming day-long videos in each country, and itā€™d be amazing to capture something youā€™re interested in.

P.S. Iā€™m taking off tomorrow! Feel free to email or DM me on Instagram if you have suggestions or ideas.

I recently came across a phrase I hadnā€™t heard before: the joy of missing out. The older I get, thereā€™s less room for FOMO (fear of missing out) in my life. Missing out can be nice! This month I feel a lot of joy staying in Dalat. Being close to nature, doing small things, and slowly working on my videos. Not rushing the process, just creating in a way that feels right to me. Just learning to be more efficient with my time. (Thatā€™s why Iā€™ve been uploaded less on my channel, hope you understand).

Iā€™m finishing an edit of my second video from Myanmar. Canā€™t wait to share it with you this week!

No more sweet Youtube money for a while! Privet everyone, I'm currently in Myanmar on my second trip here. Everything is going well here, but I can't say the same about my channel's monetisation. This week, Youtube deactivated all AdSense accounts based in Russia, and for some reason I hadn't set up an AdSense account in another country over these years. The good news is: it's fixable (though it might take some time). In the meantime, I'm incredibly grateful for the support I've received on Patreon. It's my most reliable revenue stream at the moment.

I'm working on another video from Myanmar, and getting ready to head back to Vietnam, with a stop in Thailand along the way. Yeah, it's a pretty active summer! I hope you all are having a fantastic month! I'll get back with a new video someday next week :)

I'm just watching some of my older videos, and I got a thought: I am spiralled to where I was four years ago. In a good way.

The vast majority of my following (omg, that's 209,174 subscribers at the time I'm writing it) discovered my videos during my time in St. Petersburg. No surprise here, I was filming a lot about my life in Russia, that was a hot topic back in 2022. I enjoyed creating that content but that wasn't a thing that I initially wanted to share with people. I didn't even plan to stay in Russia that long! Few people (anyone here, actually?) may remember that my channel's earliest content was travel videos from China and Thailand. I lived abroad since 19 years old (I'm 29 now) and I wanted to share what it's like experiencing countries that life leads me to.

I was terrible at every aspect of video creation: my editing looked disturbing, structure of my videos was unclear, I stumbled over my words and was very insecure in front of camera, I picked boring video ideas, etc. etc. etc. I am still unsatisfied with every thing I just listed. But each year I saw the progress, and (which is 1,000 times more important for me) I saw people supporting me and my content.

A year and a half ago when I left Russia, I was very confused about my videos. I saw that people expected more content about Russia from me, my videos were getting hundreds of thousands of views, which also meant great potential income. But that wasn't the kind of videos that I wanted to create. So I made the decision to stop posting about Russia and instead started to film what genuinely excites me: snippets of my lifestyle, food, grocery shopping, money matters. More travel.

The views dropped A LOT. Every new video I postedĀ was getting less views (because it was too different from the content I did before. That's how Youtube works). I was prepared for you, but still was somewhat frustrating. It took over a year to see the picture I'm sharing with you today: a new travel video ranking the first in views!

Thank you very much for being with me along this journey šŸ™ I have many more videos to share with you (the next one is coming in a day or two!).

Privet everyone! My trip to Myanmar is over, and it was quite an experience. I have plenty of footage, so I think this will be my longest video yet. I had planned to publish it this weekend, but unfortunately, I wonā€™t have enough time to finish it. Expect it on Tuesday. I'm continuing my trip with a journey to Cambodia, right after a short visit to Bangkok, Thailand!

ps. It feels amazing to capture my experiences during these trips. I lost this feeling last year, but I'm starting to rediscover it. Thank you for being with me, your support means a lot šŸ™

Privet everyone! Iā€™m currently having a slow trip to a new country in my life: Myanmar. Didnā€™t expect to visit this place but here we are. Life here isā€¦ interesting. I film a lot, and thatā€™s going to be a long episode about this country (next week). As for this weekā€™s upload, itā€™s coming tomorrow!

A few highlights of this journey:
- Iā€™m doing fine. I am visiting Yangon and the area very close to the city, itā€™s rather safe here;
- people speak really good English here, I am surprised how easy it is to get around Yangon city;
- Iā€™ve got a few local friends and a few expat friends who show me around. Theyā€™ll be in the video;
- money is weird here, and everything is rather cheap for a foreigner, and expensive for a local person.
