Sharing an experiment using watered down acrylic to colour plain fabric, carbon paper to transfer a design, inktense blocks to add colour to the design and then slow stitching into it (plus creating images for cards from the finished piece). I hope it provides some ideas #slowstitching 💙🧵🪡

Here’s the design for this week’s community stitch along using public domain designs from the Briggs transfers from the Antique Pattern Library. I had selected this design yesterday along with another option but when I heard the Roxy’s Journal of Stitchery prompt for this two week period of winter berries I just knew I had to go with this one and thought others might like it for their Roxy Field Notes journal too. I’ll be adding an extra bird to mine (flying in) as I want to have three birds for special symbolism. As always, feel free to tweak the design or select an alternate design or just join in for the chat during the premiere which will be 21.00 AEST Sat 16 November on YouTube. I’ll post the link closer to the time.
