The original premise was conceived around 2002, at the age of 15. It was originally a short story derived from the following question. What if one innocent bystander was murdered for every single cigarette you smoked? It was a sadistic tale inspired by Stephen King's "Quitters Inc." The original theme, now used as camouflage in the trilogy, was to satirically present smokers as our latest victims of discrimination.
I completed the novel's first manuscript after 19 days during November of 2012. It evolved into a piece revolving (Redacted to Preserve Franchise Value).
Throughout the remaining decade; I attempted two more drafts unsuccessfully as a result of a disability, poverty, and random employment. In November of 2019, I finally managed to successfully convey to a friend/film school graduate the unique premise. "Cacophony Lives" was a bi-product of developing Jonas Coleman's backstory.
