I will be able to send pictures later on this week but my Solar Panels ended up as the highest dollar kites to have ever been flown. Hurricane Helene was one mean bitch when she came through. Now just like 98% of the county I am without power and without means to refill my generators because everyone has bought up all the gas. The lines that were open had turned into a frenzy as I saw fist fights break out at the gas pumps.
Just like everyone in the county, I'm having to drive 15 to 20 miles just to get to a spot where I can leave this message because internet is down in this area.
My 2022 Corvette is a total loss being that it can't swim, My Camaro and my wife's cars were saved. Luckily my classic cars were parked at the farm. I lost two rental properties to falling trees and my tenants along with their families are okay.
Let's just say that this has been a humbling experience and never feel that you're so high that you can't be brought back down to size.
There is good news out of all of this...WE ARE ALIVE AND WE SURVIVED IT ALL! Things can be replaced, people can't. These last four days with barely an online presence made me realize a lot of things.
I actually like cooking outside and the feeling of camping out in my own house. My heart actually melted the way that my neighbors and I pooled together despite our religious, political and racial differences. We bartered food, soap, clean water and labor to see each other through.
I want to say this last thing for all of my subscribers. I appreciate you all and I hope that you are all safe out there! This world is getting ridiculous and I miss being able to interact with you all.
