With the filmmaking industry as well as YouTube as a whole undergoing massive changes I’m contemplating what content to put out on YouTube going forward.
Choices are fully going into lighting tutorials, gear reviews, filmmaking as a whole or venturing into content for broader audiences (but cinematic). That could mean everything from tech reviews to life in general. Let me know your thoughts

Honestly, it still feels absolutely surreal. While other members of the crew and cinematographers have celebrated the night away I just went home and went about my days as if nothing happened.
But something DID happen. A film I have worked on as a cinematographer has won an Oscar. Yes. Oscar!
Maybe it’s because of a slight imposter syndrome kicking in or because of the feeling that there’s still so many great things ahead of me. So many great people to meet and so many amazing films to be made and this wasn’t even the peak. Crazy thought, I know.
Well maybe what happened will kick in in the days to come but for now I just want to thank the amazing and absolutely crazy Daniel Roher to bring me on for this project and put his trust in me to deliver his Vision and be part of a large group of so many talented filmmakers who have worked on this project. Now onto the next one…

Youtube Shorts: Should I upload them? It would be mainly a short behind the scenes of a light or camera setup followed by the final shot. Good idea or stick to long form content?
