Really loved cookin up this track with @julesdegasperis and @floriangouello in the studio. It felt tremendously easy and free flowing as the best creative sessions usually do.
Lyrically it’s inspired by the theft the band had back in 2022 on our first headline tour that was ultimately cut short. After I lost a bunch of new music, this was one of the first ideas that sprung to life 💥

“HINTS” is the 3rd single off my album TERRA INCOGNITA.

It’s a minimal song made purely with synths and vocals and no drums. It’s a song that came from a night jam made with my brother @jules2g at his mountain house in Crestline. It was the last song to be written for the album and we wrote it during the aggressive storms that raged California last fall.
In the beginning you can hear iPhone recordings of his house being slammed by the rain and @jules2g playing his Casio keyboard. It’s a sort of journal entry of thoughts and ideas around never ending change and uncertainty but yet still being exactly where you want to be.

This video was shot during 6 days at over 10 different location on Oahu and the Big Island of Hawaii. We went from 80 mph winds off of Ka’ena Point to volcanic steam vents on the Big Island. Director @kidisreal and I tried to bring a surreal unique experience of Hawaii through the music and visual pairing. To show her through the lens of a non traditional perspective of Hawaii usually sold to tourists for vacationing but of a gorgeous off world view showcasing the beauty, splendor and grandiose I’ve always remembered her as.
ALSO NO HAZE OR SMOKE WAS USED.
ALL OF IT WAS VOLCANO STEAM 🤘🏼🤘🏼🌋🌋🌋
