Join us as we carve out a remote, off-grid homestead on the breathtaking slopes of the Swartberg Mountains in South Africaâs rugged Klein Karoo.
Here at Tamakoa Homestead, weâre documenting our journey from the ground upâmapping out the land, building our off-grid home and tiny A-Frame Cabin along with lots of infrastructure, planting orchards, raising animals, managing water, cooking from scratch, and embracing the challenges and rewards of homesteading life.
No trust funds, no big budgetsâjust doing what we can, when we can.
