Unpopular opinion: Top football clubs fail at player care. It's not about too many games. That's cope. Gym training, mobility work, nutrition, recoveryāit's all trash. Countless world-class athletes tearing their ACL is indefensible.

Once youāve become the best player on your team, itās time to find a better team.
If youāre not the best player on your team, donāt expect to get a better team.

Imagine yourself:
- Frustrated with not enough playing time.
- Tons of small injuries preventing you from getting better.
- And your mind over all the place making it hard to focus when you do get on the pitch.
And then imagine going from that to:
- Scoring crucial goals in the best competition for your age group in Italy.
- Having interest from big clubs like Atalanta, Roma, and Lazio.
- And even getting a Puma boot deal.
Thatās pretty cool if I do say so myself.
But donāt take it from me.
Listen to what Max Pajonk said about it himself at our 3 month Total Footballer Check-In Call:

Reflecting on my journey as a footballer, I've identified key areas where I could have made better choices.
Sharing these insights might help you avoid similar pitfalls and enhance your development on the pitch.

Itās never fun when you miss the ball on your first touch or whiff a volley.
Itās even less fun when you pass the ball out of bounds or get caught offside for the tenth time that game.
Itās definitely not fun when you pull your hamstring running up the pitch or tear your ACL changing direction (no one touching you).
And that is your NOT FUN scale from never fun to definitely not fun.
Looking back, Iāve had tons of fun in football and tons of NOT fun in football.
And it got me thinking about this classic line of advice coaches tell young players:
āDonāt take your eye off the ballā.
Itās so simple on the face of it, but itās so important beyond itās face value.
And if I was able to adhere to this advice growing up, I think I would have saved years of effort doing the wrong stuff and unquantifiable amount of pain dealing with the consequences of doing the wrong stuff.
So all I wanted to share with you today is:
Remember to keep your eye on the ballā¦ and Iām not just talking about the ball.
Define your purpose. Describe it clearly and vividly. Feel it.
And keep moving towards it every day.
Avoid the side quests that are shiny and interesting but ultimately just waste your time.
Friends that donāt support your mission, drop them.
Family that wants you to stay with them and never grow, make some space.
Habits that take you farther from your goals, cut them out.
Foods that make you slow and sickly, trash them.
Do exactly and only what is needed to become your best and achieve your goals.
Keep your eye on the prize.

Consider this:
Would you agree that some players can simply drift and glide across the pitch?
Would you agree some players are skinny yet stronger than bigger players?
Would you agree some players are ājackedā but have never stepped foot in the gym?
Now, what if I told you there were several very logical reasons behind all of that and itās not just āgeneticsā?
And itās all backed by actual science?
I know, sounds too good to be trueā¦
So let me explain:
Weāre all told about about the importance of the Nuclear DNA since the day weāre born, even though itās something we donāt have control over.
Yet there is the Mitochondrial DNA that is passed down by your mother, which is the underpinning of most the biological processes in the body since mitochondria are like the batteries in our cells, creating energy.
And the mitochondrial DNA is NEVER talked about these days.
And it should be because how well the mitochondria functions is hugely influenced by environment, lifestyle, and training.
Which means itās 100% under your control.
Now, professional athletes have insanely better mitochondrial function than most people because:
- Theyāve been outside most their childhood playing sports
- Often come from lower socioeconomic environments where there is simple food, less access to video games, and other athleticism-destroying habits.
- And have a hunger to escape their conditions, which creates a belief system that fuels mitochondrial biogenesis
All of that leads to better mechanotransduction, which basically just means their mitochondria produce more energy in a more efficient manner.
That leads to better:
- Hormone production
- Muscle development
- Breathing mechanics
All of which creates a self-repeating loop of development while people donāt have that mitochondrial function are stuck in a cycle of fatigue, injury, and insecurity.
So you can literally increase your āauraā.
- Play more sports
- Get more sun
- Get grounded more often
- And most importantly, improve your athleticism via the fascia so your mitochondrial function improves permanently.
This is exactly what we do for our Total Footballer Clients.
After signing up, youāll have intake form to fill out and from there you will get a custom 12 week plan to naturally transform your athleticism.
