Bought this old ICOM off eBay for $70, tossed it on the dash, made a quick, fused, harness and pushed the power button.
Works like a charm!
Even without an antenna, I'm able to pick up my local area NOAA frequency. Stoked to put together a legit mount and get an antenna on the roof.

If you've been around for a while, you probably know I live in the southeast. We just took more damage than I think anyone expected and we are still without power and phone service. Work has wifi but nothing Ethernet. Went ahead and ordered me a set of Baofengs. Not having comms is a scary thing, even if it's just a few hours, a lot can happen. Stay prepared!

Swapped the CGW RMR plate out for an OEM CZ plate. Ordered from CZ Parts dot com on the 17th, arrived from the Czech Republic today. $50 for the plate and $27 shipping.

Picked up another Dagger slide to pop onto my spare frame. Having a minor fitment issue. Seems like something a range trip and a couple hundred rounds might fix though. 😂
