Little update from me!
I'm going to cut to the chase; I am not doing so hot right now. Since the beginning of last week, a small change in my medication had so many knock on effects and I've been struggling to bring things back to balance.
Here's a quick rundown of things:
- Blood pressure needs to come down to protect my kidneys and how they function
- Important since I have T1 diabetes & at higher risk of all the things (I wish that was a joke)
- Node was found on thumb joint causing pain & severe stiffness/locking
- All meds need reviewing (pretty standard but important)
- Daily monitoring of blood pressure & regular blood tests
- Common symptoms - fast heart rate/palpitations, fatigue, loss of appetite & pain
- Blood sugars becoming more unstable with these all in effect
I want to share details like this because I want to share awareness of the dangers with type 1 diabetes as well as provide you additional context on what's happening with me.
Last week, especially, was really scary. I had a huge spike in blood pressure and it scared the shit out of myself & Pyro. This was probably up there as one of the worst heart "episodes" I've ever had. I'm 100% determined to avoid this happening again.
I feel incredibly guilty about cancelling streams so I appreciate all of you being so patient with me. Many of you have gone through stuff like this with me in previous years and for others, this is the first time.
Please know that things will become stable soon; I'm sure of this! I've been dealing with health issues since the beginning of my content journey so I have full faith we'll bounce back.
I'm doing my very best to look after myself and I hope you'll continue to be patient with me as I do. I'll be getting an injection soon for the node on my thumb which has its own side effects so the next while is going to be bumpy - we got this though!
