My friends, although completely exhausted, I'm finally ready for the holidays. House cleaned, decorations in place, presents wrapped under the tree (one didn't quite fit, so at least it received a small ribbon).
I want to sincerely thank every one of you for your support this year, and the amazing journey we had together. There wouldn't be any Night Shift without you, and I can't even express how grateful I am for this amazing community.
I'm wishing you all the best and sending lots of love!
Thank you for everything!
Finally, new video tonight! Here's a little teaser - it was a BIG project! Get your popcorn ready because it's going to be the longest video I've done so far :)
... and while I'm working on the new diorama, here's probably the best scratchbuilt tree video I've ever seen. Some of the tricks are just incredible! Amazing job by Glue Reaper
There's been a staggering amount of fake bot accounts spamming "You won a prize - contact me on Telegram" under my videos, and I'm presuming it's happening all over Youtube if they found a small and niche channel such as mine.
These are NOT ME! I received several messages from people asking if this is legit, and it just isn't. If you find a similar reply under your comments, note that the account isn't @NightShiftScaleModels but some random variation of my name with a stolen logo.
I keep deleting these accounts whenever I see them, but it's impossible to stay on guard 24/7. I'm surprised Youtube hasn't addressed this in some way already, because it's really getting out of hand, and, sadly, some people almost got scammed already.
I would never tell someone they won something (some of the prizes were quite ridiculous - gaming PC, new iPad, etc., but most of these comments didn't mention a specific prize) without announcing a raffle or a competition in the first place.
The reason why I never made a giveaway or something similar is because there are strict laws for these events, and it honestly discouraged me. I always do these kinds of things by the book, and I definitely wouldn't like to do something illegal, especially if it were due to my lack of knowledge.
Anyway, I'm working hard on the next video with a full diorama, and I can already tell it's gonna be a big one!
What a beautiful gift from the Plastic Posse Podcast! These folks are some of the nicest people in this hobby.
My friends, tonight's video will be roughly 30 minutes late. But I think it'll be worth the wait - 32 minutes of full weathering misadventures!
When you’ve been spraying for 6+ hours and your compressor starts to sound like a melting reactor 🥵💀
This was brought to my attention and it seems like a perfect book on how to paint camouflage uniforms, what do you think? Here's their Kickstarter link if you'd like to check it out :)

Some facts from the latest video.
Sorry for not being around lately, my friends. Real-life stuff has been at it again.
I'm a night owl. And also a modeller obsessed with rough steel textures and weathering ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Well hello there! I'm Martin, a plastic modeller from Eastern Europe.
I enjoy building, detailing, weathering and documenting the creative process on my models (which are usually tanks, and by usually I mean always).
My channel is about all the things we, armor modellers, enjoy. I make detailed vlog-style video tutorials from my builds where I explain and demonstrate how to use techniques ranging from basic to advanced. Washes? Oil paints? Chipping? Rust? Mud? Dust? Battle damage? Well, I've got just the thing.
If you want to learn some new techniques and maybe get inspired for your own projects, you've come to the right place.
I'm sure we'll be the best armor buddies!
