In my sustainable art practice, I find beauty in the forgotten and the natural. I breathe new life into scrap wood, transforming it into unique pieces that tell their own stories. My colors come from the earth—flowers, soil, and locally found rocks create vibrant natural pigments. For my medium, I use gum arabic or glycerin, embracing their eco-friendly qualities. Every thank you card is crafted from recycled paper, and I ship your orders in repurposed cardboard boxes. Each piece is a testament to creativity and conservation, art that nurtures both the soul and the planet.

VINTAGE FURNITURE MAKEOVER

A low height, solid teak wood, vintage "Munim Desk" restored and upcycled by me.
This was one of my first few projects at the studio. It was a lot of work, as I did not have any power tools to work with back then. The entire piece was hand sanded. Phew! 😬
I kept it very minimal on the outside, with hand-painted Gond art details on the lid and one front side. The inside was painted a bright red for sheer shock value 😀
This was also one of the pieces I exhibited at Dastkar Nature Bazaar that year and was sold off on the very first day
