So I have avoided speaking about this publicly for the past 6 months because I was trying to process everything in the first place.
Today is my dad’s 6 month anniversary.
I will be releasing probably the most raw video I’ve ever shot this evening at 7pm GMT+1 (2pm EST), sharing my experience of losing a parent. I hope it will help somebody who might need it, or give insight to those who may not.
Rest in peace daddy. I miss and love you so much 🤍

If God gives you His word, you can trust that no matter what obstacles arise in the middle, it will still come to pass. It has to.
I was reading the story of Joseph, the dreamer, in Genesis today.
The thing that struck me was that at age 17, God gave Joseph these great dreams about his future that seemed unfathomable. How is a 17 year old having dreams that his older family members will one day bow down to him, and he will reign over them? It seemed impossible - especially with the cultural standards at that time. Nevertheless, God still said it.
13 years later, at age 30, Joseph saw the fulfilment of that dream, or promise from God. But it wasn't that simple. It involved him being betrayed by his own brothers, being thrown into a pit, being sold to strangers from a foreign land.. and to make things worse, those strangers don't even want you, so you're sold to other strangers by them. When things finally started to look up for Joseph, he was thrown into prison. When in prison, he helped somebody and asked them to remember him when they were released. They forgot. Joseph suffered rejection, betrayal, being forgotten, abandonment, jealousy, and all sorts of internal turmoil in the lead up to the promise. But when the promise came, it was said that besides Pharaoh, there was no-one in the land of Egypt greater than Joseph!
See the thing is, when God told Joseph about his future at age 17, He knew that all of this would happen in the lead-up. Even if Joseph didn't know, God did. And He knew that although He didn't want Joseph to go through so much pain, He was mighty enough to make it work out for his good. He knew that His word still stands.
Trust God with your tomorrow. Your current challenges are not a surprise to Him, but are simply a part of a much more glorious future. Don't give up ❤️

Hello lovely people, my name is Aghogho Okpara. I am a 24 year old medical student who got in on my 6th attempt. My journey began at age 16 and I gained admission at age 22. Since then, I have gone on to win a gold award for research excellence in medicine at Ireland's top university, have won medical bursaries for my paediatric oncology research, and have been nationally recognised as a young leader.
I hold a first class BSc in Biomedical, Health, and Life Sciences from Ireland's top university and a national scholarship award from 2017-2021. I am passionate about inspiring careers in Medicine and STEM in children from underserved communities and inspiring people to become their best self academically and in all other regards.
