The Women's Cell of Soka Ikeda College of Arts and Science for Women, in association with IQAC, organized a workshop on "Empowerment In Motion: Learning Self-Defense to Stand Strong" on 9th September 2024. The Chief Guest, Sensei T. Sasivaraman demonstrated the essential self-defense techniques, empowering students with practical skills. Special guest Sub-Inspector Mr. Gunasekaran highlighted the legal aspects and importance of self-awareness in preventing the crimes. The workshop was a resounding success, equipping participants with confidence and strategies for personal safety.

Teacher's Day, was organized on 5th September 2024 to celebrate the nobility of teaching and unmatched selfless service of teachers. The day was filled with happiness and smiles. In the special program conducted, Ms. Veeravalli G. Bhooma, IRPS was the Chief Guest and she congratulated the gurus, who imparted the knowledge and remained a rolemodel. Cultural programs were performed by the students and they distributed gifts to the teachers to express their respect and love. College Students Union organized the programmes for the day.

On 5th September 2024, The Department of Commerce in association with IQAC organized a program on Career opportunities after graduation – an insight in to UPSC examinations for final year UG and PG students of Commerce to assist the aspirants in understanding the nuances of the Civil Services Examination. Mrs. Veeravalli G. Bhooma IRPS, Additional Member, HR in Indian Railways was the resource person. She gave insights about the career opportunities in Civil Service examinations and enlightened them with the importance of setting up goals in life.
