hey!
i’m burnt out.
anyways, thank you so much for your support lately :)
the channel recently passed 4K subs and i was able to get monetized. so thank youuuuuuu so much guys i love u sm :)
but it’s been stressful to say the least to keep on making videos. I have a bunch of ideas that I end up scrapping halfway through because I feel like they’re not good enough. The worst part is that I feel inauthentic and fake in my videos.
In the meantime, you can check out my instagram here: www.instagram.com/keitstuff/
i'll probably post things related to my other hobbies like design
see ya later! *kiss u and flee scene*

Something that's always excited me with language learning is by learning through examples.
Here I'd like to introduce some of my go-to’s for learning Cantonese.
1. Ham Baang Laang (YouTube + Website)
The channel is an endless library of short stories (called “graded readers”) for all levels of Cantonese learners. They are very well-written and well-illustrated, and many of their videos have Jyutping on screen to follow along. I always learn a lot both grammar-wise and vocabulary-wise from watching their videos. They also have a website if you’d like to get a PDF copy of their stories!
2. CantoneseClass101 (YouTube)
They have free lessons covering all sorts of topics on their YouTube channel so it's suitable for both complete beginners and people who know the basics.
3. MtzCherry (YouTube)
On her channel, you can find a dedicated playlist to teaching Cantonese and lots of vlogs. Her videos are all subtitled (which I can't be more grateful for), so it's a fun way to learn Cantonese while getting to know more about her life in HK.
I have a notebook where I keep all the interesting sentences I came across. Then I mix them up and try to use them in my diary. That way, it helps me remember them for longer and makes learning Cantonese much more fun!
I hope this post could be of help :) thanks for reading!

Hey, I found a good Cantonese dictionary app: 「Hanping Cantonese Dictionary」
— Why I love it: —
- It's 100% offline.
- It can break up a sentence into smaller chunks + definition.
- Word lists. Lists of top characters, top idioms, etc.
- Lots of examples.
- Works with Anki.
It's $9.99 on the Google Play Store → play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.embermit…
It's not on iOS but you can use the Cantodict website as an alternative here: www.cantonese.sheik.co.uk/dictionary/
