NetherRealm Studios has unveiled new gameplay footage of Mortal Kombat 1. The Omni-Man trailer for Mortal Kombat 1 showcases brutal and gory fatalities performed by Omni-Man. He will be the first DLC character to appear in the fighting game, with more characters like Kuan Chi and Takedu, as well as characters from other franchises, such as the Peacemaker and Homelander, expected in the future. The release date announcement for Omni-Man took place at New York Comic-Con.

Released in celebration of the 20th anniversary of "Invincible," the new Mortal Kombat 1 trailer provides a brief overview of Omni-Man's move set, with special emphasis on his fatalities. In one of them, Omni-Man delivers a devastating punch to the opponent's face, in another, he flies towards the nearest subway and holds the opponent in front of an oncoming train, and in the third, he sadistically crushes the opponent's head with his bare hands. Fans have noted that Omni-Man's fatal incidents are nods to iconic scenes from "Invincible."

In addition to the move set, the trailer showcases special introductory dialogues that are heard before the start of a match and delves into how Omni-Man interacts with other participants in Mortal Kombat 1. Some of these dialogues reveal Omni-Man's arrival in the Mortal Kombat world, where he seeks to conquer realms in the name of the Viltrum Empire.

Have you noticed the Korean version of the Lies of P website lately? Well, here's something intriguing. On their site, there's a mention of an upcoming expansion. The exact quote reads, "Expansion in the works." It appears that full-scale development may not have commenced yet, as the developers are still expanding their team. While the announcement doesn't immediately reveal what this future DLC might entail, fans have a fascinating theory. It's based on a post-credits scene in the game featuring a character familiar to readers of the books. Was this scene a teaser for the next chapter in the Lies of P world, or perhaps even a full-blown sequel? Only time will tell.

There is a growing belief that Nintendo might unveil a new gaming console in 2024. This belief has gained momentum following closed presentations at Gamescom 2023 and hints from Chinese manufacturers about an impending significant release from Nintendo. However, it's crucial to approach these rumors with caution since they originate from a source with a questionable track record.

According to this purported insider, the next Nintendo Switch is slated to hit the market on September 24, 2024, with some suggestions of an early November release. Interestingly, the insider doesn't know the console's exact name but claims that it's internally referred to as "NG." This term was also found in documents related to Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard, where it likely stands for "next generation."

The leak further suggests that the console will come in two configurations: a Standard Edition priced at $449 and a Digital Edition priced at $400. The fact that this leaker has knowledge of the precise release date and prices a year ahead of a supposed presentation raises suspicions, unless an official announcement is imminent.

Most reports hinting at an earlier release date for the new console are based on the distribution of hardware development kits earlier in the year. Historically, Nintendo has sent out developer kits approximately a year before a console's launch. Additionally, investigations by knowledgeable fans on Famiboard, who analyzed export data related to console production companies, support the notion of an earlier release in 2024.

Releasing a Nintendo console solely in digital format seems unlikely, given the global decline in physical game sales, and Nintendo's continued strength in this segment. Moreover, the compact cartridges used by Nintendo may not significantly reduce space and cost if they were eliminated entirely. While there's a chance that the console might be released in two versions, it's more plausible that one of them could be a version without a dock. However, it's essential to remember that all of these details are still speculative at this point.
