What Project would you like to see completed 1st out of the projects I've shown? Brackets are for maps for a certain game.

Here's a update to Crystal Caves V5 as there's not been a preview for a while. I've been working on detailing the map in my own time and here's a couple of screenshots of the detailing itself.

Yes, some of the gameplay is getting reworked to help fit the detail and terrain better.

1 more update - The map has been moved to Baseline Crazy (5) (Suggested by ‪@Rotanix2‬)

What difficulty do you think Crystal Caves V5 is roughly? (Up to the end of the tower section - Based on Preview 2)

After Months, A update to 1 of my oldest maps is coming... (Thanks to ‪@Rotanix‬ for inspiring me back into this), Here's 3 screenshots as a progress. Christmas Town is getting the V2.1 Update finally.

Ik you might be wondering - Why is this not V3? There was a planned revamp that I think is on hold (Rotanix, can you confirm this to me?), so I thought to update the current version of the map to at least improve V2 in terms of gameplay. This patches some of the most broken shortcuts in the map and adds gameplay (Decreases Walking Sections in the map) and I plan to keep this to fe2cm auto only, making V2.0.2 of Christmas Town it's final version for FE2CM Legacy.

The difficulty will remain a Normal Map if you're wondering if it's changing.

Here's a question to see if you guys know a fun fact about my previous maps. Which map was my 1st completed map in FE2 Community Maps? (1st Released, Excluding Revamps)

Yay... I love it when everything just breaks in my obbies/maps... Not really. 2 of my maps in the modern timeline are IMPOSSIBLE in fe2cm auto because the speed sections don't function, and I don't know why (Is it because of the anti-cheat or did crazyblox patch this out)

Update: Even more maps are impossible in fe2cm Auto for the same reason or due to fixes.

Update 2: V55 fixed the maps with speed sections, but the ones with wall hops and backjumps still need fixing

I was going to do a speed build in Tower Creator, but at this point, It has been confirmed to be a toxic community, so the entire project is scrapped. I'm not going to help toxic communities as bad as that. I recommend you to stay away from tower creator's discord server, It is not a nice server at all. From my experience, they just make fun of others, which happened to me. The moderators in the server do not ban the rude players at all, yet they ban others that try to stop the rude players? It makes no sense, and the moderation team in Tower Creator really need a redo in my opinion with nice players that want to prevent the community from being rude.

Until the community starts being way nicer, the project is scrapped. It's far worse than even Flood Escape 2's Community is.

(Continuation from previous post) There is 3 major game design issues that is both the community and the game at fault. I'll start with the least issue to the most. (This is my opinion on Flood Escape 2)

The 1st issue is the maps difficulties. While the difficulty system is definitely questionable, the game seems to favour newer players... If it wasn't for the fact boosting exists at all! Players are asking for harder maps, why not give maps with very hard parkour on the lower difficulties? (Examples: Wraparounds on Hard+, Stickouts on Insane+, Wall Hops on Crazy) By this point, the parkour is just cakewalk by obby standards now, so why not give the parkour a major buff to help fit the difficulty system better. There's also some jumps that just cannot be done in Flood Escape 2 due to the ladder mechanics, which ruins it's potential for very hard gameplay. (Backjumps is a glitch, it is not intentional)

This can be combined with removing the worst maps and easy maps can be moved down (too easy for it's difficulty like Snowy Peaks or bad like Crystal Caverns and Blue Moon (Yes, It's Overrated))

Crazy+ does have the potential to fix this problem for it's hardest difficulty, But I have 0 hope for this based on the maps in FE2 Community Maps.

The 2nd issue which is definitely an issue is how many shortcuts that are in Flood Escape 2, resulting in benefiting everyone or causing the solo player to take every button, leaving everyone else behind.

I'll start with the 2nd half 1st - This one is definitely the fault of the map design. Especially on maps like Blue Moon, Magmatic Mines and a few other maps. This is not to mention the opposite direction like Dark Sci-Facility where most players can flat out head for button 3 without even thinking of Button 2, often softlocking multiplayer.

The problem is, it often causes a lot of easy victories due to carries, which is a huge problem on Insane and Crazy maps (And Crazy+ when it comes out), resulting in lazy servers in Pro, or a lot of cheated victories because of infinite jump (This is still not fixed)

As for shortcuts, This ruins the game in my opinion due to the fact it's benefiting everyone, which is unfair. Even if you do not do shortcuts at all (which I recommend not to in Flood Escape 2), there's always 1 or 2 players doing them, which screws up everything.

All Insane+ maps are too easy because of this! If you want harder maps, you also need to fix the shortcuts too! I know map design is the fault sometimes (Like Familiar Ruins), but a majority of the time, shortcuts are to blame here. This was why the backjump being re-added was a very bad idea since it re-broke a lot of maps again.

Not counting the lag glitches (PC Exclusive), the maps are barely functional compared to other obbies, like, While playable, the shortcuts ruin the experience of the maps! While yes it gives harder parkour, it causes everyone to benefit from it, ruining the point of this.

The game is functional, but it's barely playable because...

Issue 3 - Lots of-- *Flood Escape 2 has Crashed*

This falls into 2 halves because of the different meaning here

Server Lag 1st - This is extremely common in chaos servers, but that's not the only issue here, Button lag can easily destroy any run very easily on some maps. Some examples is Beneath the Ruins and Magmatic mines (Less extreme, but still happens). The server can easily lag in Chaos Servers, eventually leading to a inevitable crash due to the constant lag spiking. (Server crash is when the server does not respond in 30 seconds, Client is 60 seconds (Timed Out))

This results in chaos servers being unplayable, even with a good PC, due to the server just... failing to keep up with the player count.

As for FPS lag, Is flood escape 2 SERIOUSLY not optimised?! Despite Crazyblox's best attempts, the game still fails to keep lag to a minimum, especially performance wise.

The game uses almost 1 GiB of Memory on Windows (Little over 1GB on Mac/Linux) most of the time, which easily either crashes low memory devices or severely lags the game as a result. this is further amplified in Chaos Servers where there's way more players, creating even more lag.

Turning the quality down to 1, Disabling High Detail in the Options menu in game, disabling auras, enabling ghost players, and disabling music barely does anything when the memory usage is that high, causing all the lag to begin with. (On PC, the shortcut key on roblox is CTRL + F7 to see memory usage, alternatively, use Task Manager)

With better coding, I think it can be optimised by around 100-150Mb of memory, increasing performance on low ram devices. Although with the current detail of the maps, there might not be much that can be done about memory based lag, especially if there's a possible memory leak due to changing settings over and over. (Which I have covered in Glitches & Bugs)

I'd optimise fe2 and fix the memory leak issue to prevent lagging from changing settings. (It's easily done in Chaos Mode due to the high player count)

All previous points I've mentioned with fe2 do still apply, this is more of an addition to the previous post.

At this point, I have pulled all my maps from FE2 Community Maps since I'm planning to leave Flood Escape 2 Entirely. I'm currently doing what I have left for Flood Escape 2, but I'm likely not going to record any more footage from it at this point. I'll also say my thoughts of the current state of it as well.

I might make 1 exception, but that's pretty much it. The all maps redo isn't happening due to the game updates destroying the entire project (1st the 2 new crazy maps, 2nd Mirror mode, then Exploding buttons and fog, and now I even heard there was a Crazy+ coming to pro servers only, destroying the entire project as it was solo only)

The all maps redo is just FAR too luck based now due to the events not being predictable and 1 showing every 2.5 minutes minimum (2-3 rounds minimum depending on map length, Average is 2, assuming no early fails)

The game itself has just gone downhill ever since the agility update... I'm not kidding, ever since that update, it's been getting worse and worse!

Long story short, this is basically the updates that ruined the game bit by bit for me

1 - Agility Update & Intensity / Map Voting
2 - The drama that happened with Enszo and the tria team
3 - The update that broke 3 of my maps (Digital Neon Cube, Digital Parkour Nightmare and The Final Training)
4 - Re-addition of Backjumps
5 - Daily Challenges
6 - The addition of 2 new crazy maps (Based on Community Response)
7 - Pro Server Requirement Buff*
8 - Mirror Mode
9 - Exploding Buttons & Fog
10 - The 2 "New" Maps (Northern Mill & Toxic woods)**
11 - Forums closure (Destroying FE2CM Legacy)
12 - The new cm game (Auto Whitelisting)***
13 - The constant game breaking or fatal glitches

* - Okay, I don't hate this update, but the reason for this was just stupid in my opinion. There was a far better solution to counter exploiting/cheaters than this, but he did the laziest option possible. This will be ineffective a few months later. I do agree the level requirement needed a buff and the other requirement of 7 days (14 might be a better requirement), but not the daily challenge, It's luck based and just wastes time for some players.

** The 2 new maps here I don't hate by itself, but were completely unnecessary to add. While a rule was added to prevent this happening again, this sadly was the final straw for me for the main flood escape 2 game since it is clear that they're not fixing the current maps in the game nor revamping the old ones.

*** This is only frustrating because this came way too late, causing everyone that had to wait to realise they lost a lot of time because of how bad the whitelisting system was in consistency. (Especially me with having to wait like 4 months for 2 map id's (I am not kidding!) only to realise about a year or so later they added auto whitelisting, like, AGH!!!!)

I've not included the audio update as this is not FE2's fault, but it was a contributing factor of fe2cm's downfall.

Final thoughts about the game - It was fun back 2 years ago, but now, there's far better obby games out there. Difficulty charts do 1 thing right at least, which is consistency. The community is confirmed to be rude and If I'm going to be honest, the community really hates negative opinions. But I'll not let it stop me from saying my thoughts here.

What finally ruined the game for me was the re-addition of backjumps, the 2 new crazy maps (Halloween 2022?), Mirror Mode, the fe2cm auto update (December 2022), the 2 "new" maps and the forum closure (January 2023)

Another thing that ruined the game was Boosting and map voting. The reason is because pro servers are now full of this. My solution here is to remove both from Pro Servers since they're meant to be pro servers. without these removed, issues like constantly playing 2 maps over and over are way too frequent (This is rarer in Normal Servers), effectively ruining any enjoyment I had with Pro Servers.

I'll run a poll soon mentioning my own maps since I actually didn't remove them entirely, just moved them.

With that, that'll conclude a basic rundown of my thoughts of Flood Escape 2. If this is improved in the future, I might consider checking it out again, but until then, I will be leaving the game.
