Just want to say….again. Thank u for this recipe. Bc of you I now cook whole chickens, quick and easy and it’s so much more affordable, healthy !!! I am also disabled and can’t cook much anymore so I’m very blessed to have this recipe. I cook mine in a ceramic coated cast iron Dutch oven. Maybe that’s why mine doesn’t come out quite as pretty as yours but man is it good so I don’t really care lol ❤

Once again, YouTube live is canceled tonight because of a family emergency. No one has hurt. At least, no one is physically hurt.

I'm slightly pissed off, and I apologize that once again the YouTube Live session for tonight has to be canceled. I scheduled the session this morning, and did food shopping during lunch. Then, an hour ago I learned I ahve to spend this evening driving around, doing family errands that have to be done tonight, and spending more money than I wanted to. Again. Tomorrow night and Friday night I am scheduled for the work pager. Therefore, I have no choice but to cancel again tonight.

This video was brought to my attention last night. I'd never seen this YouTube channel before, even though it has over 300,000 subscribers. In this vide she claims Lodge is discontinuing their "USA Enamel" cast iron series due to lack of support. However, I looked on the official Lodge Web site, Lodge's Facebook page, and a Facebook group for Lodge cast iron (The Official Lodge Cast Iron Community), and none of those groups mention this at all. A little while ago, I posted a short video showing a chuck eye steak being dry brined ("dry aged" - sue me) in the refrigerator before roasting. There were some comments on this video suggesting that you should not coat the meat with salt and pepper, but only salt; the pepper will burn when seared. TikTok was removed from the Apple store on January 19th, but something else happened as well: the Web site for TikTok no longer allows users to upload videos. People have been whining about the app being removed, but there seems to very little commentary on what TikTok itself did to suppress its users. I'd said previously I wouldn't lift a finger if TikTok was "banned" because of the way it treats its users, and I still say that. It just means I'm out of TikTok now, unless the situation changes.
I'd accidentally removed the TikTok app from my phone when I was clearing used memory space. To do that on the iPhone, it uses a routine to uninstall and re-install the app. My phone uninstalled the app, but was not able to re-install it.

Amateur (because I'm not a professional) cast iron cook, newcomer to antique collecting (I collect vintage cookware to use in my kitchen, not just to display), and Chaos magician. I discovered cooking *and* mysticism at roughly the same time, which was why I decided to combine the two and follow the path of this strange hobby, which I simply call "cooking magic." Every so often I get the urge to make a video that, I hope, you will find entertaining and useful.
