The National Empowerment Fund (NEF) is established by the National Empowerment Fund Act, 1998 (Act No. 105 of 1998). The NEF is a driver and thought the leader in promoting and facilitating black economic participation by providing financial and non-financial support to black empowered businesses and promoting a culture of savings and investment amongst black people..
NEF’s mission is to engage in research, analysis and information dissemination to ultimately shape national agendas through partnerships. NEF stands out in being able to make significant strides in terms of bringing the private sector perspective as well as engaging with both, public and private sectors in the development discourse.
