The key of F# minor/A major with the mean-tone tuning gives the baroque lute a special, radiant sound. It was therefore very favored by lutenists in the Baroque period, although it is not easy to play.
I created this piece using this traditional key with the modern musical style. Enjoy the sound from the 17th/18th century!
I thought long about whether I should really post this video. It was clear to me that the video "The Only Way" would not be pleasant for some viewers... Fortunately, the video's rating remains 100% (i.e. zero dislike) so far.

My new video is music for sleep. However, the duration is about 100 minutes, and not 8 hours or so. In this way, the music ends in the deepest phase of sleep. If the music plays all night, our brain cannot recover well...
The screen gets darker after 5 minutes, but not black. You can still see me in the dark screen.
And it's important! Turn off the auto-play function! Otherwise other videos will continue to play...
However, if you have to sleep in an environment with a lot of noise, it might be better if the music accompanies your sleep throughout the night. That way your brain can be distracted from the disturbing sounds. I'm about to post 8 hours of music too ;-)

Microphone - The most important utensil for recording.
I have used AT4033a by Audio-Technica for 24 years. It has a gold coated diaphragm and picks up the finest nuances of musical expression. Since some time I felt a slight loss of sensitivity (What only I perceive and for the others is quite no matter...). Now I have purchased the successors. They are the same model because I have not found anything better...

Also as Japanese, the country with particularly much earthquakes, my deepest condolences to the bereaved family. The origin of the oud belongs to the ancient times and similar instruments were used by the Babylonian and ancient Egyptian. Until today, oud is played as the "king of instruments" in Arabic culture.
The oud found his way to Europe in medieval times and it became "lute". During the Renaissance the lute was also regarded as the "king of instruments".
