Imagine walking into your kitchen and preparing not just one dish—but an entire meal—in a single pot, all at once. No mountain of dishes. No juggling pans. Just smart, streamlined cooking that saves time, effort, and energy. Welcome to the world of Cooking Smart with Bhavna—a revolutionary cookbook that brings the magic of Pot-in-Pot cooking to life.
Cookbook available at a.co/d/hhlyaxQ
In this inspiring collection, I invite you to rethink how you cook. With my signature warmth and clarity, I introduce a method
that’s as simple as it is genius: pot-in-pot cooking, where you stack multiple dishes—grains, vegetables, curries, even desserts—inside your pressure cooker or Instant Pot, and cook them all together. It’s a total game-changer, especially for
busy families, working professionals, or anyone trying to eat better without spending hours in the kitchen.

But this isn’t just about saving time—it’s about cooking smarter. I show you how to preserve the authentic flavors of Indian cuisine while embracing a modern, efficient approach. With detailed instructions, beautiful step-by-step recipes, and clever hacks, I turn multitasking in the kitchen into a delicious art form.

From classic dals and fragrant rice, to one-pot biryanis, chutneys, and even sweet treats—each recipe is designed with love, balance, and efficiency in mind. I don’t just give you recipes—I give you confidence. Confidence to cook nourishing,
homemade meals every day, no matter how hectic life gets.

Whether you’re a seasoned home cook or just starting your culinary journey, Cooking Smart with Bhavna is your passport to a more joyful, stress-free way of cooking. It’s more than a cookbook—it’s a movement for mindful, modern meals made
with heart.

So if you’ve ever wished for more time, less cleanup, and consistently delicious food, this book might just change your life.
Pot-in-pot cooking isn’t just a method—it’s a lifestyle. And with me -Bhavna- as your guide, it’s never been easier to cook
smart.

I figured out real quick that ā€œwomen get paid less than men no matter how awesome they are,ā€ so I did the only logical thing—I became my own boss. That way, if I was going to underpay myself, at least it was my decision!šŸ˜€

What are/were some of your childhood dreams?
Growing up in India, my mind was a whirlwind of creativity and curiosity! I was one of those kids whose imagination never rested – the kind who’d see a tree and immediately start plotting an elaborate treehouse design, or pretend the backyard was a movie set for an epic adventure. Every trash items I found would become a treasure for me!
Back then I didn’t know it is called sustainability…
But my favorite pastime? Watching TV commercials and picturing myself as the face of every household product out there. I’d watch those cheerful faces selling soaps, shampoos, or cooking oils, and I just knew – someday, that would be mešŸ˜‚. I’d rehearse imaginary lines and perfect my ā€œmother -approvedā€ smile, practicing until I was sure I could nail it on the first take. I was a little commercial star in my mind, convincing the whole India to buy the ā€œbestā€ detergent or the ā€œpurestā€ ghee! Lol šŸ˜†

I always thought this will remain as my dream only as my culture would never allow me to become a model or even the face of household as modeling has always been connected with glamours world.
Actually, glam has never really been my thing. Growing up, I wasn’t the kid who dreamt of runway lights or glittery outfits. I was more interested in the warmth of a kitchen(I was the shadow of my mother), the joy of creating something from scratch, or the little moments of magic in everyday life.

While the world of high fashion and glamour is beautiful, I feel at home in simplicity – in the comfort of familiar faces, the smell of home-cooked food, and the beauty of everyday routines.

It’s those little things that have always inspired me. To me, being ā€œrealā€ is more important than being ā€œglam.ā€ I hope that, through what I share, you see the beauty in the ordinary, too.

Looking back, I laugh at how serious I was about it all, but I’m also so grateful for that silly, unfiltered creativity. That childhood dream of connecting with others through the things we use every day? In a way, it actually came true….in a little different way but very close to my imagination.

Forget about being a model but my dream of being an independent would not come true either.
From a young age, I knew I wanted to carve my own path. While traditions and things passed down have their own beauty and meaning, I’ve always felt a pull to create something uniquely MINE. I didn’t just want to follow in footsteps – I wanted to make my own, even if that meant starting from scratch.
I could say ā€œBhavna’s Kitchenā€ is one of them, of course I had some help & support from family.
Whether it was my career, my style, or even the way I approach life, I’ve always been inspired by the idea of building something new, something with my own signature on it. Creating something from the ground up, pouring my own ideas and personality into it – that’s what excites me the most.

For anyone else who feels the same way, remember that it’s okay to break the mold. Follow your vision, trust your creativity, and make something that’s yours.

Sometimes, our dreams do come true – but not always in the ways we imagined. We might have visions of fame, success, or a particular lifestyle, only to find that life has its own plans. Often, what we once dreamed of takes shape in ways we didn’t expect or recognize right away.

The trick is to pause, reflect, and recognize the pieces of our dreams that might already be woven into our lives, just in different forms. Sometimes, a dream isn’t about the end result, but about the joy and purpose it brings. So, when life takes our dreams down different paths, it helps to embrace those moments and see the beauty of dreams fulfilled in unexpected ways.
My mind is still bit restless and thinking of something creating next big thing, don’t know yet what it is but I will keep dreaming!!!šŸ™šŸ»

Spicing up our morning with these fresh homemade jalapeƱo bagels! šŸ”„šŸ„Æ

Warning: These jalapeƱo bagels are highly addictive! šŸŒ¶ļøšŸ˜

Ingredients:
1 cup flour (I mix 1/2 cup almond meal + 1/2 cup Italy imported flour)
1/2 cup greek yogurt or blended cottage cheese(I use blended cottage cheese)
1tsp baking powder
Chopped jalapeƱo as per taste
Everything bagel seasoning
Egg wash or milk
Direction:
Preheat oven or air fryer at 350F
Combine flour, baking powder together. Add cottage cheese or yogurt & jalapeƱo.
The dough will be sticky initially but trust the process and it will come together in no time.
Divide the dough in 4 equal parts.
We love crusty bagel so I flatten them about 1/4ā€ thin and they bake faster as well that way..
Sprinkle everything bagel seasoning. I press seasoning a bit. Brush with egg wash and bake for about 20 minutes or till golden brown and enjoy!
