channel is going back down on lockdown again.
I was hit with a strike last week by Tokuma & RIAJ. the music in question was a vinyl 7-inch single by Yuji Dan—one of his other (rarer) works just recently got re-issued so it seems probable that the 7-inch single will get re-issued too, hence the takedown. I at least get the reasoning behind this strike but still sucks regardless.
2nd strike came in this morning. just like the last time it was all Nippon Columbia content but the big difference here is that all the affected albums are fucking LP-only albums 🙃
the fact that these were targeted could potentially imply that they will see a re-issue soon but if they don't then having them striked in the first place is just plain evil.
this pretty much confirms that nothing i upload onto YT is safe. that said, i might re-consider re-uploading stuff that was previously striked before since it doesn't really matter at this point.
I'll re-evaluate my options later but for now I'm not re-publicizing anything again until both strikes expire.

I recently acquired a LD containing karaoke versions of various songs from the Urusei Yatsura franchise and passed it off to @KinekoVideo for Domesday capturing. This doesn't contain all the songs from the franchise sadly but I'd say (nearly) one hour of music is better than nothing. Especially considering since some of these are still exclusive to this LD.
Also went and de-noised/de-clicked the audio as well. Check it out if you haven't yet!

A while back I put up my vinyl rip of the 1981 vinyl-only mix of Makoto Matsushita's "First Light".
However, due to the 2 strikes I received back in August, it had to be privated at the time.
Months ago I began making slow efforts to publicize some videos on my channel again, but as soon as I began publicizing a few, YT decided to immediately block it worldwide once more.
They've stepped up their game since then and I can no longer post it publicly if the artist & album title are even vaguely mentioned ANYWHERE in the title or description.
I've put the album's catalog number as the title to try and make it easily searchable just a little bit. YT is accepting this, for now.
If you haven't listened to it yet, now's a good time for it.

Channel is back online.
Had to remove some videos to decrease the chances of the RIAJ coming after me again but TBH that probably won't do much since a lot of my uploads are still technically fair game for them to come after.
Here's hoping a considerable amount of time passes before they attempt to sic me again

channel is at risk of being deleted. i got hit with two copyright strikes in the span of two hours last night by the RIAJ. i've privated all my videos for now but i'm really not expecting this to be able to do anything.
pray that i can make it unharmed until mid-november
