Swedish Metal FTP or Swedish Metal From The Past started as a website (In 2004?) that pushed old school Swedish Heavy Metal also known as FWOSHM (First Wave of Swedish Heavy Metal) or FVASHM in Swedish (Första Vågen av Svensk Heavy Metal). Which is Sweden's answer to the NWOBHM wave. Think classic or traditional heavy metal.
Britain had Iron Maiden, Saxon and Venom while Sweden had bands such as Heavy Load, 220 Volt, Europe and Gotham City. This type of metal will be the main focus on this YouTube channel but you'll certainly find some Swedish doom or Swedish thrash as well.
Expect bands such as: Candlemass, Bathory, Proud, Silver Mountain, Keen Hue, Torch, Universe, Mindless Sinner, Madison, Destiny, Yngwie J. Malmsteen, Overdrive & Mercy.
