Hey all, first and foremost: myself, my family, and friends are safe.

Unfortunately the usual LGR vids will be postponed for a good while. The hurricane early on September 27th did major damage to my home in Asheville and I won't be able to live there for some time. Many folks in Western NC have it far worse than I do, too. Countless landslides, floods, downed trees, missing roads and bridges. It’s *extremely* unusual for a storm system like that to reach this far inland and recovery is going to be a long tricky process.

In my case, two large trees fell through my porch, living/dining room, and clean through to the back deck. The roof was opened completely to the elements and I have no idea the extent of the damage yet. I do know that the main LGR collection rooms downstairs (right below where the trees hit) immediately began filling with rain leaking through the floor as a result. The roof opening is too unstable and large for me to cover with a tarp (not that I have one that large) and tree crews with a crane haven’t yet been able to access my area. Too many trees and power lines down.

I haven’t had a reliable cell signal till today, still no power or running water in town, and nowhere to get food or gas reliably. Hopefully that’ll change soon. We’re holding up though, I’m feeling lucky I wasn’t hurt, and I’m determined to recover and come back soon I can!

Still working on the next LGR video, but over on Blerbs is a new travel vlog!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3x_VY...

This one is the Long Island Retro show experience, at least as it was for me across 10 days. Driving from North Carolina to Virginia, taking a train from there to Manhattan, exploring New York City, getting settled in Uniondale, a bunch of wandering around the event weekend itself, then flying/driving back home.

Mostly it's a bunch of exploring NYC though! My main video all about Long Island Retro Gaming Expo will be up here soon, hopefully next Friday.
