@GHBCReno You know....It's devastating to feel betrayed by someone you trusted, especially a pastor and once a police officer.
They are supposed to be protectors and guides, Mark Morton failed in a critical moment of a woman's life.
Police officers do take an oath to serve and protect, and it's unacceptable that the pastor, who was also a police officer, didn't uphold that oath in a reported forced sex case. It's even more hurtful that they claimed to love and care but didn't take action to support in any fashion.
Just dismissal 😢
Remember that their failure to act doesn't define a person's worth or the validity of the traumatic experiences. SINGLE MOTHER'S deserve support, care, and protection ESPECIALLY WHEN ASKING FOR HELP!!
It's essential to recognize that sometimes, even those in positions of authority can fail us.

I AM trying so hard to explore reporting the incident to the appropriate authorities or seeking legal counsel....but it's been a struggle because I need daily survival paycheck to paycheck.
It is heart breaking to know I am not alone, and there are other who have been hurt and ignored.
Why?
Why are poor people not important too? Why do poor people have to live with the pain of being silenced?

Just like Martha, I have faced numerous challenges and setbacks, but my determination to share my story has only grown stronger.

My name is Melissa Tirona, and I am a survivor of domestic violence, catfishing, and systemic failure. My daughter, Angel Marie, was taken from me far too soon, and her life matters just as much today as it did when she was with me, with us. I am still grieving, to this day for this happened 2011.

But my journey has been met with disbelief, shame, and blame.
When I tried to speak out about the abuse, I was told that I was somehow to blame. Mark Morton's words still haunt me: "You invited him into your home, Melissa." The implication was clear: I was responsible for the abuse that occurred.

Those words have left a deep scar, and it's taken me a long time to realize that I am not to blame.
I am a victim of abuse, and I deserve justice and support.
Angel Marie is a victim still today though 12/21/11 was some time ago.
My book, "#NotByAccident" (#stillbornstillloved), tells the true story of love, loss, and living with the pain of losing a child to domestic violence.
It is a story that needs to be told, and I will not #rest until it is heard.

I'm deeply hurt and disappointed by Grizzly True Crime creator's behavior. After paying for membership, I expected kindness and respect. Instead, Sunny Slaughter publicly shamed me on Twitter, joining in on a negative reply without knowing the full story. Her harsh words will forever be documented online.
I ask Sunny Slaughter, what kind of person am I? Is it my hair color, body size, or my advocacy for the voiceless that you both teach us to support? I was a loyal paying member, contributing to your success on YouTube. This is how you repay me?
I know how to set boundaries with love and kindness, but you both attacked me without hesitation. I'm saddened by your behavior, especially since I've supported your channels from the beginning. Your actions have left me blown away by human behavior. I'll pray for strength to speak out louder and find people who truly care. Shame on you both.

Dear Mr/s. Soon To Be President and #WWW,
As a survivor of catfishing, criminal abuse, and systemic failure, I am writing to demand change in our justice system and support for myself and others who have faced similar experiences.
Despite seeking help, I was met with disbelief, dismissal, and a lack of accountability from the very systems that should have protected me.
I reported to a MANDATED REPORTING PASTOR,, who did nothing but shame me,, blame me everything but INVESTIGATED AND/OR REPORTED PROPERLY.
This is unacceptable and must change.
Believing survivors and acknowledging MY experiences.
MARK MORTON OF RENO, NV should of held accountable LARRY MALONE.
I HAD TO create my own culture of support and empowerment for survivors like my tribe.
