Soooo you can get the box of these sweets from the same company for £5 or these which are a special for the holidays for £1.99. Found in B&M also instead of bags of marshmallows get the tube of marshmallows.
The Tube is worth 2-3 bags of marshmallows and is £2.50, less than half the cost of the same amount of marshmallows in the bag.
Don’t just grab the first thing you see. Take a breath and look around especially at this time of year.
Also remember Halloween is coming up and the day after Halloween all the sweets are marked down to make room for Christmas stock. This includes chocolate that can be used to melt down to use for holiday baking.
Shop around and take your time. Don’t rush and grab buy you can save yourself heaps of money over the next few weeks.

Sunday a day to rest of course which is why for us it’s the busiest day of the week. Especially when health has had you firing on a half a cylinder for the last couple of weeks.
Catching up on the odd jobs around the place. Like collecting the cardboard boxes for a tip run.
Putting all the jars together for what has to be done this week to catch up on the week or 2 missed.
It’s getting towards the end of August which means we are nearly 12 weeks from the holidays. There is a lot to be done and with every lost day makes us a week behind.
Time to put on the big girl pants and get things done and crash and burn afterwards.
Cupboards to sort, drawers to organise, shelves to rearrange and freezers to empty and refill ready for the winter coming.
It all seems so over whelming but every little job takes us that much closer to our end goal and that is what matters in the end.
If we just do one thing a day for the next 3 months that is 90 things. More than enough to keep us going and make this winter and its festivities special.

Yesterday I went to B&M in Monks Cross in York and I found these.
I’ve been wanting to have a collection of reusable plastic cups etc for the grandies and BBQs and picnics for a while and although occasionally I find fancy dinosaur ones and stuff I’ve never really found any ones I liked and willing to pay for … until yesterday.
The 8 Cups and 8 Bowl packs although marked at £1.50 were marked down to 75p.
The 2 x 2 packs of rainbow plates were marked at £1.47 but also marked down to 75p.
The snack and drink plates also marked at £1.50 it marked down to 75p each.
I had intended to get all blue ones and yes I got all the ones they had but I remembered Bam likes pink so I bought 1 pink one just for him. Cos I’m nothing but a thoughtful mummy…. Sometimes.
It was a good day for bargains. The money I saved from getting these meant I could get a couple of cherry ripe bars cos yah know it’s what we do innit.

When you’re sick at home and he’s at work and reminds you he’s thinking about you by getting you a bag of beef bones for making stock when you’re well and a pack of Chinese pork ribs that he hates but you love.
Sometimes they can make you wonder and then every now and then they do this… always are going to be better than hot house roses.

Self Reliance, Urban Homesteading and Wellness on a rain water budget.
Hi my name is Pam but please do call me Bloo. I am a qualified Chef, Nutritionist, Dietitian, Herbalist and Naturopath. I have always worked towards being as self sufficient as possible and supplying my families food from the ground up. 10 years ago an accident forced me into retirement due to major injury and from there things went kinda pear shaped. This channel is what I am doing to claw my way back to where I was and beyond through natural therapies, and urban homesteading, whilst teaching others to do the same on a very tight budget.
